Guide to Installing SpinTiresPlus and Custom Maps Online.
Here is a quick guide on how to install SpinTiresPlus by localhost (an awesome unofficial patch that adds a lot of features) and also how to play custom maps in multiplayer with your friends!
First you'll need to download SpinTires+.
Next, you'll extract the contents of this folder (should be 2 files, a .dll and a .xml) into the root directory of SpinTires.
Start your game. Fastest way to test to see if it worked, try zooming out all the way. You should pretty much be able to zoom out a mile now.
Works? Great. There are also dozens of other tweaks you can make to the game by editing the SpintiresPlus_Config.xml file. Like being able to winch, even when vehicle is rolled over and dead.
SpinTiresPlus is also required in order to play custom maps online.
How To Download Spintires Maps
For installing maps, first you'll need to download a custom map. For example NW Trails?
Once you download that, extract it in a temp location. Look inside the freshly extracted for a Media folder.
Copy that Media folder to the root of your SpinTires directory so it replaces the already existing Media folder.
That should be all you have to do to install custom maps. You may install multiple maps, just choose the 'replace feature' every time you copy the Media folder into the root of the game.
How To Download Spintires Mods 1
Now you can play an enhanced version of spin tires with custom maps with your friends in multiplayer. Please note that your friends will need to do the steps above in order to join you. They'll have to download the same version of SpinTiresPlus and the same version of the Map.
